We are located along
the waymarked paths for pleasure cycling in the Luberon, and also
near a horseriding centre along France's long-distant hiking path
GR 6. We propose lavender/Provençal products in cooperation
with the "Routes de la Lavande" network.
We are close to the Prieuré de Salagon, a medieval monument
in Mane that is also a regional museum dedicated to the study and
preservation of the customs, know-how and oral traditions of the people
of Upper Provence. It includes ethnobotanical gardens, a research
and resource center with workshops for children, a library, and more.

The village ofSt
Michel l' Observatoire: only a dozen kilometers or so away from
us are the clearest skies in Europe. The Observatory of Haute Provence
is the only one of its kind in the Northern Hemisphere, and its domes
are famous. The laboratory of the French National Centre for Scientific
Research hosts researchers from all over the world. And in 1998, an
Astronomy Centre was created in the village for the purpose of diffusing
scientific knowledge.
The Centre is particularly well equipped. Whether you are an astronomy
buff or a novice just learning to observe the sky, you can take part
in the Centre's "Head in the Stars" activities, which include
monthly astronomy nights, discovery classes, and summer activities
for all audiences.
The Campagne St. Lazare can accommodate individuals or a group for
a single night or for longer stays. |
