Ideally located a few minutes' walk from the centre of Forcalquier, between the Luberon and the Lure Mountain, La Campagne St Lazare enjoys a privileged location in Alpes de Haute-Provence, 20 kilometres from Manosque.
Forcalquier lies on some major tourism and history routes: the Via Domitia, the Way of St. James, the Lavender routes and the Route Napoleon.

In the heart of the Luberon Regional Nature Park, the establishment is close to major motorways, A51 and A7, which are easily accessible.
From the A51: take La Brillanne exit towards Forcalquier via the D4100.
From the A7: take exit 24 Avignon Sud, then the D900 and continue towards Forcalquier via the D4100.
On the way out of Mane, turn right along Chemin de Saint Suffren for 20 metres, then turn left. La Campagne St Lazare is at the bottom of the path on your left.
Aix-en-Provence TGV train station is 95 km from La Campagne St Lazare. TGV high-speed trains and TER local trains run along the line several times a day. A shuttle service is available for Forcalquier. Timetables

The currency used for transactions is euros.
The final confirmation of your booking is sent after the payment in euros of a booking deposit equal to 50% of the total amount of the stay booked with a minimum amount equivalent to one night. This will be debited from the credit card provided as a guarantee.
Note that some offers may involve certain specific booking and prepayment conditions.
It is advisable to cancel as soon as possible once the cause of the cancellation has occurred. You may cancel by contacting us by telephone and confirming in writing or by simply clicking on the link at the end of your confirmation e-mail and following the instructions displayed on your screen.
In the case of the cancellation of all or part of the booking, the amount of the guarantee will be returned to you after deduction of the cancellation costs subject to the following conditions:
You may cancel free of charge up to 15 days before the arrival date outside of peak periods. After this, the total amount of the booking is invoiced by the establishment. In the peak season (for stays between 1 July and 31 August) bookings are final and may not be cancelled or refunded. In the case of a cancellation or a no-show on the day of arrival, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be invoiced.

Check-in and check-out:
You are advised to use the "Comments or Additional information" box in the booking form to inform us of your estimated arrival time, especially if you will be arriving late or if you want to book a table at the restaurant in order to enjoy the "back from the market" dishes.
Check-in: 2 pm to 6 pm
Rooms must be vacated by: 11 am
If rooms are not vacated by this time, you may be invoiced for an extra night.

During your stay at La Campagne St Lazare, you will be able to follow the lavender routes: the famous lavender fields of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence offer landscapes in a variety of colours and fragrances which you should take time to savour.
A region with a rich past, Haute-Provence lies on the Via Domitia: the first road built by Romans in Gaul (from 118 BC), which connects Spain to Italy via France, including the French Alps. It will delight those who enjoy history and archaeology with its remains dating from the period.
The Via Domitia also follows a route of the pilgrimage to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, between Montgenèvre and Arles, with a stage in Forcalquier.
A major tourism and historical route, the Route Napoleon passes through Forcalquier and retraces the route take by the Emperor in 1815 from the Alps to the French Riviera: an opportunity to admire the varied landscapes between the sea and the mountains..

Also be sure to visit the old town, with its streets and residences dating from the 13th and 15th centuries that offer a rich history, as well as Notre-Dame du Bourget Cathedral, an imposing Gothic structure dating from the 13th century.
And, of course, on Monday morning, be sure to visit the market and discover the colourful and traditional stalls of the local farmers and craftsmen.
Manosque, the pearl of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence
Manosque, the town of the author Jean Giono, is just 20 km from our gite: the opportunity to visit the typical Provencal town centre and the historic monuments it holds (Porte de la Saunerie and Porte du Soubeyran, Notre-Dame de Romigier Romanesque church, and more) and the Carzou Foundation. Manosque is surrounded by superb landscapes and is one of the major towns of Luberon regional nature park .
Digne-les-Bains, Prefecture of Alpes-de-Hautes-Provence
Beyond its administrative role in the region, Digne-les-Bains benefits from a very rich cultural heritage: Notre Dame du Bourg Cathedral houses an exceptional crypt and the many museums will delight you regardless of your centres of interest: museums devoted to lavender, brass instruments, Gassendi Arts Centre, the Alexandra David-Neel house and the Promenade museum.
Aix-en-Provence, the town of a 1,000 fountains
Aix-en-Provence is well worth the detour. Opposite the magnificent Montagne Sainte-Victoire, the town is best visited on foot. The Cour Mirabeau, the main avenue which is emblematic of the town, is ideal for peaceful and relaxing walks. You will also be able to discover the charming narrow Provencal streets in the town centre, as well as the attractive squares adorned with many famous fountains.
